Terms of Use

These Terms are the agreement between you and Show Information Systems (SHOW SOFTWARE) for your use of WORLD X10. Please read them. By creating an account, or by using WORLD X10 without one, you accept them.

1. Who this agreement is with

WORLD X10 is operated by Show Information Systems (SHOW SOFTWARE), a company established in Ajman, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). "You" means the person using WORLD X10. "WORLD X10" or "the Service" means our mobile applications, our websites at worldx10.com and app.worldx10.com, and our application programming interfaces.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains how we handle your personal data.

2. Eligibility and age

• There is no minimum age to create a WORLD X10 account. Archery categories begin in childhood, and a young archer should be able to record their own scores. Where the law of your country sets a minimum age for using online services, that age applies to you.
• If you are under 18, you may register and record your own scores, but you may not publish posts or stories, send direct messages, or apply to tryouts until a parent or guardian has given consent through the process described in our Privacy Policy. Your account is private until you or your guardian change that.
• If you are a parent or guardian giving that consent, you accept these Terms on behalf of the young athlete and you are responsible for their use of the Service.
• You must not use WORLD X10 if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms, or if the law where you are prohibits you from doing so.

3. Your account

• You sign in with your mobile phone number and a one-time code. Keep control of that phone number. Whoever receives the code can reach your account, so tell us immediately at privacy@uaex10.com if you lose the number or suspect someone else is using your account.
• Give us accurate information, including your real date of birth, and keep it up to date. Your date of birth determines the protections that apply to you.
• One account per person. Do not create an account for someone else without their authority, and do not impersonate another archer, coach, club or official.
• You can change your username, subject to a cooling-off period between changes, and your phone number, confirmed by a one-time code sent to the new number.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.

4. Your content

You own what you post. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your photos, videos, captions, scores or any other content to us.

To be able to operate the Service, we need your permission to handle that content. You therefore grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, reformat, resize, transcode, display and distribute the content you publish, solely for the purpose of operating, securing and improving WORLD X10 and showing your content to the audience you selected. This licence lasts only as long as you keep the content on the Service; it ends when you delete the content or your account, save that copies may persist for a limited time in encrypted backups and cannot be recalled from people who already re-shared or downloaded it.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that any identifiable person in your photos or videos has agreed to appear.

Where we want to feature your content in our own marketing, we will ask you first and you are free to say no.

If you believe content on WORLD X10 infringes your copyright or other rights, write to privacy@uaex10.com with enough detail to identify the content and your right in it, and we will review it.

5. Rules of conduct

WORLD X10 exists for archers. Do not use it to:

• harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone, or incite others to do so;
• post sexual content, and never anything that sexualises a minor;
• post violent, hateful or discriminatory content, or content promoting self-harm;
• contact a minor for any purpose other than legitimate coaching or competition, or ask a minor for personal contact details, images or a meeting;
• impersonate a person, club, federation or official, or falsely claim a title, ranking or verification;
• submit false scores, manipulate a leaderboard, or use another archer's results as your own;
• upload malware, attack our systems, bypass rate limits or security controls, or scrape the Service by automated means without our written permission;
• use the Service to sell, advertise or spam, or to collect other users' data;
• break the law, or the rules of the range, club, federation or competition you are taking part in.

You can report content or an account from inside the app. Reports about a minor's safety are treated as the highest priority.

6. Scores, handicaps and leaderboards

• Scores you record are self-reported unless a club or official has verified them. We do not independently audit every round.
• Handicaps, rankings and leaderboard positions are calculated by WORLD X10 for training and comparison. They are not official results and do not represent a classification, ranking or record recognised by World Archery, any continental body, or any national federation, unless that body says so itself.
• We may correct, recalculate, hide or remove a result that is clearly wrong, duplicated, or entered to manipulate a leaderboard.
• Do not rely on WORLD X10 as the authoritative record for entry into a competition. The organising body's own records govern.

7. Verification badges

A verification badge indicates that we or a club carried out a check at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of a person's identity, qualifications, coaching credentials or suitability to work with young athletes. Always make your own checks before entrusting a young athlete to anyone. We may grant, withhold or withdraw a badge at our discretion.

8. Clubs, coaches and scouts

WORLD X10 lets clubs, coaches and scouts discover archers. Any relationship, trial, membership, contract or payment that follows is between you and them. We are not a party to it, we do not vet it, and we are not responsible for it. Clubs that use WORLD X10 to manage members act as separate controllers of the data they collect about their own members.

9. Safety in the sport

Archery involves equipment that can cause serious injury. WORLD X10 is a record-keeping and social platform: it does not provide coaching, medical, physiotherapy or nutritional advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as such. You are responsible for shooting safely, for following the rules of your range and federation, and for seeking qualified advice before changing your training, equipment or physical routine.

10. Moderation and suspension

We may remove content, limit a feature, suspend an account or close it where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone — particularly a minor. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond. Serious cases, especially those involving the safety of a child, may result in immediate closure without prior notice and may be referred to the competent authorities.

11. Ending this agreement

You may stop using WORLD X10 at any time and delete your account from Settings in the app or at app.worldx10.com/account/delete. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; export your data first if you want to keep it. We may end this agreement by closing your account under section 10, or by discontinuing the Service on reasonable notice. Sections 4 (as to content already published), 13, 15, 16, 17 and 19 survive the end of this agreement.

12. Paid plans

Core WORLD X10 features for individual archers are free. Some features for clubs, coaches and scouts require a paid plan. Those plans are sold outside the apps, by invoice or through our website, on the commercial terms agreed at the time of purchase. We do not collect payment card details inside the apps. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated. Unless the applicable consumer law provides otherwise, fees already paid for a period are not refundable when an account is closed for breach of these Terms.

13. Our intellectual property

The WORLD X10 name, logo, design, software, database and the compilation of content on the Service belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use the Service as these Terms allow, and nothing more: no copying, reverse engineering, resale, or use of our brand without our written permission. Feedback you send us may be used freely and without obligation to you.

14. Availability and changes

We work to keep WORLD X10 available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these Terms. When a change to these Terms is material we will give reasonable notice through the app or to the contact details on your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use WORLD X10 after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, delete your account.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WORLD X10 is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that scores, handicaps, rankings, translations or content published by other users are accurate or complete.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, or for loss or corruption of data that you did not export while you were able to.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to WORLD X10, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).

Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the applicable law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ajman, and the courts of Ajman have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that, if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.

18. App Store and Google Play

Where you obtained WORLD X10 from an app store, that store's own terms also apply to your download.

Apple. This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for WORLD X10 or its content. Your licence to use the iOS application is a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We alone are responsible for support and maintenance, for any product warranty and for any claim that WORLD X10 fails to conform to a warranty or infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, and for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to WORLD X10 or your possession and use of it. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

Google. Where you obtained the application from Google Play, Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for WORLD X10.

19. General

• Whole agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about WORLD X10.
• Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision immediately, we do not give up the right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Service, on notice to you.
• Language. These Terms are published in English and Arabic. The English version prevails in the event of any inconsistency, except where the law of a jurisdiction requires otherwise.
